Today, we put the spotlight on Lesley Cameron – a Dermalogica Make-Up Artist ambassador who has worked with some big international names as well as Aussies Cate Blanchett and Sarah O’Hare.
Q. How would you describe a “day in the life” of a Make-Up Artist? A. A day as a Make Up Artist starts with organisation. A clean organised kit is imperative for me. I like to keep my day fun, creative and busy. Not much down time.
Q. Tell us about a highlight in your career thus far. A. Working and travelling with Isabella Rossellini launching her product line.
Q. If you could only have 3 items in your make-up bag, what would they be? A. Moisturiser with an SPF, Mascara and Lip Gloss (it can double as blush).
Q. Who or what is taking up your time at the moment? A. My new website which is about to launch in the next couple of weeks.
Q. Who would you love to work your magic on? A. Milla Jovovich – she has a classically beautiful and interesting face.
Q. What is the biggest make-up myth? A. Opening your mouth when applying mascara aids the application.
Q. Can you share your top Dermalogica product tip? A. Using Barrier Repair as a primer. It creates a great base for foundation and repairs the skin simultaneously.
